About Southest Sites

Website Experience. Business Experience. Personal Service.

Southwest Sites is an owner-led website management company helping businesses build, maintain, improve, and get more value from their presence online.

The company is led by Matt Fay, a web developer and website manager with more than 27 years of experience working with websites and online businesses.

But that experience goes well beyond building websites.

Over the years, Matt has built and operated businesses of his own while helping other business owners establish and grow theirs online. That combination provides an important perspective: a website isn’t just a collection of pages, plugins, and code. It’s a business tool.

It should generate leads, make sales, communicate clearly with customers, support your staff, strengthen your reputation, and make running your business easier.

That is the perspective Southwest Sites brings to every client relationship.

Matt

Owner-Led, Specialist Supported

Matt oversees client strategy, website management, development, troubleshooting, marketing, and day-to-day work.

When a project requires expertise outside that core skill set, Southwest Sites also maintains a network of experienced specialists who can be brought in as needed.

That may include programmers, designers, content specialists, photographers, developers, or other professionals with expertise in a particular area.

The structure is intentionally simple: one experienced person remains accountable for your website, with additional resources available when the job requires them.

You get the personal attention of a small company without being limited to the capabilities of one person.

Personal, Direct Website Management

Southwest Sites isn’t a large agency with layers of salespeople, account managers, and support departments.

When you work with us, you work directly with the person responsible for your website.

Need something changed? Have a question? Something doesn’t look right?

Send an email or send a text for quick response.

There’s no need to submit a support ticket and wonder who will eventually respond. You don’t have to explain your business over and over again to a different technician every time you need help.

The goal is to develop an ongoing working relationship where we know your website, understand your business, and know what you’re trying to accomplish.

That makes website management faster, easier, and much more personal.

We Look at the Bigger Picture

Website management shouldn’t mean blindly completing whatever task happens to land in the inbox.

If you ask us to change something on your website, we’ll certainly take care of the request. But we’ll also consider how that change fits into the larger picture.

Could it affect search rankings? User experience? Conversions? Site speed? Security? Branding? Future maintenance? Your marketing strategy?

Is there a better or simpler way to accomplish what you’re trying to do?

Sometimes the right answer is exactly what you asked for. Sometimes there’s a better approach worth discussing first.

Our job isn’t simply to do the task. It’s to understand what you’re trying to accomplish and help make good decisions about how your website supports the business as a whole.

More Than a Webmaster

After nearly three decades working online, our experience crosses the line between website development, marketing, and business operations.

We’ve helped businesses with website development, ongoing WordPress management, eCommerce, search optimization, content development, branding, advertising, hosting, security, analytics, staff support, and coordination with outside technology providers.

Just as importantly, we’ve spent years looking at websites from the owner’s side of the desk.

That means we’re not only thinking about questions like Which plugin should we use? or How should we build this page?

We’re also thinking about:

  • Will this help generate more leads or sales?
  • Does this make sense for the business financially?
  • Is there a simpler way to accomplish the same thing?
  • What are customers actually looking for?
  • Where should you spend your time and marketing dollars?
  • What could be improved, automated, consolidated, or eliminated?
  • How does this decision fit with the rest of the business?

Sometimes the best website advice is technical. Sometimes it’s marketing advice. And sometimes it’s simply business advice from someone who has dealt with many of the same decisions himself.

Experience You Can Actually Reach

Technology changes constantly. Good business fundamentals don’t.

Southwest Sites combines decades of website experience with practical business knowledge, direct communication, and a hands-on approach to website management.

You aren’t hiring a help desk or an anonymous agency.

You’re gaining an experienced website manager who gets to know your business, understands what you’re trying to accomplish, and looks at your website as part of the larger business—not as an isolated piece of technology.

And when you need something, you know exactly who to contact.
